Dr. Amit Padaki is an Associate Professor with dual appointments from the Baylor Department of Emergency Medicine and Center for Space Medicine. He is certified as a NOAA dive medical officer and a FEMA search-and-rescue medical specialist. He holds additional training in hyperbaric chamber operation, aviation medical examination, space medicine, and has completed the FAWM through the WMS. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Padaki works in space medical research and engineering consulting. His recent projects include validation of technologies which could be value in human spaceflight. Dr. Padaki’s interests include endurance exercise, hiking, and international travel.
